THE BOYS OF BRAYSHAW HIGH and TROUBLE AT BRAYSHAW HIGH are the first two books of a trilogy written by Meagan Brandy.
This was my first time reading Meagan Brandy's work, but it definitely won't be the last. THE FIRST TWO BOOKS DID NOT DISAPPOINT.
Do you prefer new adult novels with angst and drama? If you answered yes, you'll definitely want to check out this trilogy. It feels a bit like a mashup of THE ROYALS by Erin Watt, FALLEN CREST HIGH by Tijan, and BULLY by Penelope Douglas. And, I mean that in the best possible way.
The Brayshaw High trilogy centers around a feisty young girl named Raven Carver.
Raven takes no prisoners.
Raven doesn't care about the opinions of others.
Raven doesn't back down from anyone.
Born to a neglectful and abusive mother and with no real friends of her own, Raven doesn't have much to lose and constantly acts out at school. When she's expelled from three schools in a matter of months, a social worker steps in and sends Raven to live at a girl's home.
The new girl in town immediately captures the attention of Brayshaw High's highly sought after Brayshaw brothers, Maddoc, Captain, and Royce.
This is where things get complicated. You see, the brothers aren't blood related. They were adopted by the same man shortly before he was arrested and sent to prison on charges of sexual assault. Maddoc is the only brother old enough to have childhood memories of their time spent together, but all three boys have remained close to their father during his time behind bars.
The Brayshaw family once worked alongside the Graven family (another powerful family) to control the entire town. This is just how things were done for years and years. That is, until a series of events caused a rift between the two families before their father's arrest. With the two families at war over control of the town and their dad in prison, the brothers (who don't even have Brayshaw blood running through their veins) are the last three family members that remain. Could Raven be their secret weapon?
THINGS
ARE
GOING
TO GET
INTENSE.
I can't wait to see how it all ends!
FINAL RATING: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
